RE-CONNECTING HUMANS TO NATURE
MY JOURNEY INTO SOAP MAKING BEGAN WITH A RECIPE I FOUND IN A BOOK THAT WAS NEARLY 100 YEARS OLD . THE VERY FIRST BATCH OF SOAP I MADE WAS A DANDELION GOATS MILK SOAP RECIPE THAT CAME FROM THAT BOOK. I STILL MAKE THIS SOAP EVERY SPRING AFTER THE FIRST FLOWERS BLOOM HERE IN ONTARIO, CANADA.
ALTHOUGH THE RECIPE FOR THIS SOAP WAS VERY RUSTIC, THE BOOK TAUGHT ME HOW TO USE ROOTS, LEAVES AND FLOWERS TO CREATE A CLEAN, HERBALISTIC BAR OF SOAP.
TODAY, I CONTINUE TO USE BOTANICALS AND ESSENTIAL OILS AND MY RECIPES HAVE EVOLVED INTO A VERY CREAMY, MOISTURIZING BAR OF SOAP THAT PRODUCES A BEAUTIFUL LATHER WITH FRAGRANCES TO PLEASE EVERYONE.
I TRULY ENJOY THE ART OF SOAP MAKING AND I AM ALWAYS LOOKING FOR NEW AND CREATIVE WAYS TO INCORPERATE NATURAL INGREDIENTS INTO A BAR OF SOAP.

Clear Water Soap grew out of a long journey of working with nature. My story began when my husband and I operating The Cedar Recycling Plant, where we distilled essential oils—Thuja from cedar leaves, along with balsam and pine. That hands-on experience with pure botanicals sparked a deep appreciation for natural ingredients. We worked closely with other large producers and distributors across Canada.
Life changed, as it does, and we purchased a small farm in Mattawa where we spent the following 16 years homesteading and raising our children, learning to live simply, sustainably, resourcefully, and close to the land. Those seasons of life shaped my belief that the best products are the ones made with care, clarity, and honest materials.
Clear Water Soap is the result—clean, gentle soaps inspired by the woods, the farm, and a life rooted in nature.
